Schon das Pogrom der Hamas vom 7. Oktober 2023 und noch viel mehr die militärische Reaktion Israels hat einen Feuersturm eines hybriden Antisemitismus entfacht. In this book, the well-known Bochum theologian Günter Thomas reveals the theological-political foundations and moral course-setting of this hybrid anti-Semitism from a critical Christian-theological perspective. Thomas offers observations on the war of images, analyses the postcolonial discourse on Israel, and looks at the formula of double solidarity. He recalls central discoveries of Protestant Israel theology and sheds light on its transformations.
