Everyone is talking about the term "the people." Parliaments, courts and political movements all claim to represent the general will in equal measure, since the fundamental principle of the political today is representation. It is still not clear where these people are to be found and who rightly speaks in their name. Or does the following hold true: "Whoever invokes the people wants to cheat"?
