Kompendium zur Berufsausbildung nach Bundes- und Landesrecht

The compendium provides the first comprehensive overview of regulated vocational training under federal and state law in Germany. The aim is to facilitate a criteria-based insight into the overall context of initial vocational training and to map the heterogeneous framework conditions. Using a comparative approach, it highlights similarities and differences, with a focus on structures, regulatory processes and final examinations. It considers training programmes based on the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) and the Crafts and Trades Regulation Code (HwO), as well as training programmes to which the Vocational Training Act does not apply. The latter include training programmes under state law and training programmes in healthcare professions regulated by federal law. The compendium is rounded off with an attempt to quantitatively map the different areas of training.
