Peter Unruh shows how Article 4 of the Basic Law, as an aid to the interpretation of Article 7(2) and (3) of the Basic Law, opens up new scope for interdenominational and interreligious models of religious education. In this way, corresponding teaching formats can be legitimized under religious constitutional law and made sustainable.
