Systemic counselling and therapy is an effective means of treatment and is used worldwide. This makes it all the more surprising that in Germany to date there is no comprehensive portrayal of this method for the broad public. This book closes that gap. Rainer Schwing and Andreas Fryszer draw on their decades-long experiences with systemic methods and describe how systemic therapy may best be employed in the counselling of individuals, families or teams, in supervision settings and during coaching.Following a short introduction the authors present the basic principles of systemic counselling. In their view disorders and diseases may be interpreted as attempts (albeit failed attempts) to find a solution to one´s problem(s). The authors provide a number of very practical tips and new, sometimes surprising answers to everyday problems. These may also be applied to achieve a more fulfilled and satisfying life.
