Social work is intertwined with colonial power relations, especially when it operates in international contexts. Nina Westerholt analyses coloniality and epistemic violence in knowledge production based on the curricula of social work masters programmes with an international focus. Using discourse analysis and social cartography, she highlights opportunities for expanding knowledge understandings and designing curricula that are critical of colonialism.
