Geschlecht, Sexualität und Politik: Aspekte eines queer-feministischen Politikverständnisses

What do gender and sexuality have to do with politics? What are queer_feminist answers to the questions "What is political?" and "What is politics?" respectively? This book engages in a cartography of Western queer_feminist contributions to the concept of politics from theory and movement. The author identifies several aspects as bundling points for the definition of the term, including the identification of politics with power and the focus on alliances. She uses these aspects to develop proposals for a gender- and sexuality-analytic approach to politics. The systematization sheds light on the complexity and accompanying challenges of the conceptual field.
