Gezeichnet - Tattoos und ihre soziokulturellen Bedeutungen

Tattoos tell stories - not only on an individual level, but also on a collective level. Based on qualitative interviews with tattooed individuals, this study explores the meaning of tattoos in today's society and show how the tattoo phenomenon has changed since the 1990s. In the process, it becomes clear that tattoos are not only highly personal bearers of meaning, but also bearers of collective meanings: A fascinating journey into the world of drawn skins of our time.
